COMSOL Opens New Office in New Delhi
New office offers closer proximity to companies and scientific institutions in Delhi and other areas in North India
BANGALORE (January 18, 2013) — COMSOL, the leading provider of multiphysics simulation software, announced today that it has opened a new technical sales and support office in New Delhi. This continued expansion follows as a result of the successful introduction of COMSOL Multiphysics software in the Indian market through the company's office in Bangalore. With this new office, COMSOL further strengthens its presence in Delhi and other areas in North India: the hub of various government organizations, academic institutes and major manufacturing companies.
"A strong presence in India is key for growing our software business. In New Delhi, we see a great opportunity to enter one of the world's leading high-tech communities," says Mr. Farhad Saeidi, President of COMSOL AB and one of the founders of the COMSOL group. "The region's highly skilled engineers understand the advantage of using simulation for product development and research. They represent the ideal target group of new users of COMSOL Multiphysics."
Vineet Dravid, MD, COMSOL Multiphysics Pvt. Ltd. says “We are excited to have a full fledged COMSOL office in New Delhi. The growing research, engineering and educational activity in Delhi and surrounding areas like Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh made this location an obvious choice. This office will bring us closer to the high-tech center of northern India and enable us to better serve this rapidly expanding market with multiphysics simulation software and services.” Mr. Lakhvinder Singh will spearhead the entry of COMSOL into North India. Gradually, increasing the team size and reach of COMSOL Multiphysics will be the objective of the Delhi office.
Existing customers as well as prospective users are excited to have an industry leader reaching out to newer territories. “It (Delhi office) can be of great help to our users whenever we need any product or support from the experts. We can now also share our views on COMSOL in face-to-face forums," comments Dr. Savita Goel, Sr. System Programmer, IIT Delhi, an existing user. The industry as well as the academia is pleased at the opening of an office in their vicinity. Dr. Rajveer Shekhawat, GM for New Product Development, Secure Meters Ltd. congratulates COMSOL Multiphysics on the opening of the Delhi office. “I am sure this (Delhi office) will go a long way to spread the elegance and simplicity of a powerful modeling tool to both industry and academia in the Northern region. Such tools are here to play their rightful role in creating innovative products to challenge the competition, and COMSOL is one of the most powerful and competitively priced tools”, says Dr. Shekhawat.
COMSOL hosted an event to mark the opening of its second Indian office on 18 th January 2013.
